Design & Development Associates have secured planning permission for a single storey rear extension and new porch to a semi-detached property in Hamworthy.

The client, who was looking to extend their home to create a large kitchen living dining room approached us for some design input and to prepare a planning application.

Our initial site assessment revealed that the proposal would fall under the criteria for a householder planning application as the size of the proposal was outside the scope of permitted development. The property was also locally listed which was a further reason permitted development did not apply. We undertook a measured site survey of the property and produced detailed existing floor plans and elevations along with proposed floor plans and elevations. These were then submitted to the Borough of Poole and the application was approved 8 weeks later under delegated powers.

Since the approval, Design & Development Associates have now prepared the detailed building regulation compliant plans for the works and the project is due to be completed by Christmas by LG Builders.
