Approved: Alterations and extensions in Bournemouth

Design & Development Associates have secured planning permission for a single storey rear and side wrap around extension.

The side extension accommodates a new annexe that connects internally to the existing dwelling ensuring that the proposal will not be utilised as a new independent flat. The annexe will have its own entrance door to give the proposal a sense of separation from the existing dwelling. Our client required independent living space within the annexe. To achieve this we integrated a new kitchen, shower room, utility room and office into our design proposal.

The existing kitchen/diner will extend to the rear of the property to become a new contemporary kitchen/living area. Roof lights will be placed around the new ground floor extension to maximize natural light.

We undertook a measured site survey of the property and produced detailed existing floor plans and elevations to show the council their current arrangement. Our design proposal was submitted to the Bournemouth Borough Council and the application was subsequently approved within 8 weeks of submission.
