Design & Development Associates have secured planning permission for a two storey side extension and single storey rear extension to a detached dwelling in Bournemouth.
Our client had previous engaged a local architect to produced plans, although we were commissioned for a fresh approach to the scheme and improve the flow of the property as much space available as possible.
The two storey extension over an existing garage allowed for two new bedrooms and a bathroom and at ground floor level the garage was sub-divided to create a new utility area. We also incorporated a new single storey rear extension to create a stunning kitchen living dining area, with bi-fold doors for amble light into this area.
The proposal required a Householder Planning Application as the size of the proposal was outside the scope of permitted development. In order for us to produce the required plans we undertook a measured survey to produced existing floor plans and elevations to show the council the current arrangement. We then undertook a design proposal and submitted this to Bournemouth Borough Council as a planning application. The council take 8 weeks to determine an application and this was subsequently approved.
