Design & Development Associates have secured planning permission for a two-storey side extension & loft conversion for a detached dwelling in Queens Park Avenue, Bournemouth.
The client was seeking planning permission to demolish the existing garage and erect a two-storey extension to the side of the dwellinghouse. The side extension would allow for the formation of an annex area with a door linking the main house to the extension. The proposed development also included the formation of dormer windows to the front and rear of the property, in order to provide additional habitable accommodation for the family. Within the current loft void, Design & Development Associates managed to create two large bedrooms, one with an en-suite and one additional communal bathroom.
We undertook a detailed measured site survey of the property and produced detailed existing floor plans and elevations to show the council their current arrangement. Once complete we designed the new extension and loft conversion/extension and produced detailed floor plans and elevations to show the council the proposed changes. These were then submitted to the Bournemouth Borough Council as a householder planning application and were subsequently approved within 8 weeks of submission.
